The Dawn Rehab Thailand Scholarship Programme 2025 for Mental Health Professionals of the Future
The Dawn Wellness Centre and Rehab Thailand is pleased to announce the launch of a new Scholarship Programme for UK postgraduate students in mental health disciplines.
Designed for final year Master’s or PhD students in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, and behavioural health, the programme offers the rare opportunity to work with global experts in addiction and mental health treatment.
The four-month immersive training programme provides hands-on experience with a culturally diverse international client base at our beautiful riverfront facility in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Programme Structure
Duration: 4 months (September start)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
- First Two Months:
- Comprehensive orientation and clinical training
- Shadow skilled therapists in group work
- Learn documentation standards and clinical protocols
- Second Two Months:
- Facilitate group work and psychoeducation workshops
- Take on supervised small caseload (up to 3 cases per week)
- Advanced clinical responsibilities with ongoing supervision
- What's Included in Your Scholarship:
- Return Flights: Economy return flights from the UK to Chiang Mai
- Accommodation: Comfortable lodging at The Dawn’s secondary campus – Viva
- Meals: Three meals per day on-site at The Dawn during weekdays
- Clinical Training: Comprehensive professional development programme
- Weekly Supervision: Regular one-to-one meetings with experienced clinical staff

- Studying clinical psychology, counselling psychology, behavioural health, or related mental health disciplines
- Enrolled at a UK university
- Previous healthcare work experience required
- Direct clinical experience preferred
