Tony Tan, Clinical Manager at The Dawn, attended the Pre-Congress Activity workshop on the 8th of November 2017, before the 45th Thai Annual Congress of Psychiatry (TACP) on the 9-10th of November. The one-day seminar focused on Memory-Focused Cognitive Therapy (MF-CT), a new, adaptable cognitive therapy with evolving evidence as an effective means of treating substance use disorder. The workshop included presentations, therapeutic demonstrations, and skills practice to help understand the theoretical background and methods used during assessment and therapy. The facilitators included Professor John Marsden and Professor Robert Ali. The Dawn is pleased to have been part of the workshop as the information presented can be applied to our ever-improving treatment models.
